The first of a series of short stories, Princess Elise and the Red Wolf debuts the mysterious and adventurous world of Captain Bethany E. Rosepearl, who embarks on her maiden voyage aboard a refitted Spanish galleon sailing across the Atlantic to the New World. Her main story, and first novel, takes place in the year 1775, at the start of the American Revolution.
It’s Autumn in England, 1774. Bethany Rosepearl shares a personal story with a bunch of orphans about a young teenage girl of western royal ancestry who lives in the distant exotic kingdoms of Nihon where mythical creatures still exist.
A great danger looms in the countryside in the form of a terrifying beast, a giant Red Wolf that is destroying villages and threatens everyone in the land. Many samurai clans have fought this menacing beast and failed. The teenage girl, Princess Elise Rose, possesses unique extra-human abilities and has been tasked to stop the Red Wolf as a final attempt to restore peace to the land. Determined to prove herself worthy, she accepts the noble task of hunting down the Red Wolf.
